Affordable Housing Program
Living Development Concepts’ mission is to promote homeownership through education and development. We appoint a contractor to build or renovate your home. We also sell and rent affordable housing to veterans, seniors, families and individuals who are at or below eighty percent of the area median income.
What do we do?
LDC educates individuals, families, businesses, builders and community provider groups about the guidelines we must adhere to. Stressing the benefits of assistive technology increases the probability of our participants becoming homeowners. We apply this initiative to all phases of housing such as: selecting a contractor, new construction, modification, acquisition/rehabilitation, rental and multifamily housing.
Staff Volunteer Program
Volunteers are the lifeline of our organization giving hundreds of hours each year in order for LDC to continue its mission and create a better future for our families. They allow us to offer our clients the opportunity to collaborate with professionals in their industry in regards to information, advice and guidance. We train and provide all the tools necessary to successfully serve our community through our volunteer program.
We recognize the value of providing service opportunities to staff brings the organization, the staff themselves and, of course, communities across the state. Volunteering opportunities are available with our following partners: Sportservice (Bridgestone), Legends (Nissan), Spectra (Vanderbilt), Sodexo (MTSU), and D & D Events, Inc. (Municipal Auditorium).
LDC is working towards gaining a foothold in the volunteering market throughout multiple states, striving to grow our brand which we consider critical to the future of our organization. We hope you’ll join us in our effort to bring additional strength to this sector and support us as we expand our market. This goal will help us scale our services to reach even more organizations throughout the United States. The additional investment will allow us to significantly increase our ability to deliver more resources, and assistance to our clientele.
Mindset Change Entrepreneurial Program
The Mindset Change Entrepreneurial Program (MCEP) was created to inspire and engage participants in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset. MCEP is designed for workforce development audiences as well as those who may have a tarnished background record or having a hard time obtaining permanent employment.
LDC has partnered with Mr. Tory Crutcher, principal of The Crutcher Group, Inc., which provides Building Cleaning and Maintenance services to a variety of businesses. These services consist of Janitorial Services, Commercial Office, Residential Cleaning, Lawn Care Services and more. He will be the lead Facilitator/Mentor of the entrepreneurial learning process. To ensure the quality of the trainee’s experience and a core understanding of Mindset Change philosophy, the mentor must have been in business for over five years and be an active business owner that has a proven tract record.
An entrepreneurial mindset drives innovation in nonprofits by providing a new framework for thinking and acting. It can empower the mentees to recognize opportunities, remain adaptable through setbacks and become effective problem solvers in resource-constrained environments. Entrepreneurial nonprofits are resourceful with time, people, money and finding innovative solutions to their community’s most pressing problems.
